Hi all. I thought this was important in case any other customers plan on installing Oxwall via Softaculous. We had a customer who was trying to install Oxwall and it wouldn’t go. After hours of troubleshooting, we were finally able to get it.
For some reason Softaculous didn’t set the permissions properly to a folder during the install. The template_c folder within the “ow_smarty” folder is supposed to be set to CHMOD 777, but it was set to something like 754, which is not correct.
If you plan on installing Oxwall and run into problems, please feel free to open a support ticket. We’d be more than happy to assist!
We’ve added a new feature to the site. It’s small, but should be quite helpful.

You can check here to see how fast we’re responding to tickets. This will be helpful so you can have an estimate of how soon we’ll get back to you should you need to open a support ticket.
Ever wonder how your server is doing? We’ve now implemented a new feature where users can check to see how their server is doing. This feature checks the uptime every 5 minutes.
Publishing an uptime page also shows the skeptical users how awesome our free hosting actually is! You can locate the uptime page by scrolling all the way to the bottom of our page and click Server Uptime Last 30 Days.
